Business Sales Representative

Our client is looking for a Business Sales Representative to join their Garden Machinery Supplier business based in JHB. You will be responsible for servicing existing Independent client base as well as selected Retail Businesses. Expanding the business by bringing in new business. Sales function includes building of displays, promotions, training, listing of products and promoting the Company


Education / Experience

Proficient in English

Technical experience – an advantage

Minimum 5-8 years in Sales

Previous experience in Garden Equipment – an advantage

Strong account management and relationship building experience

In store merchandising

Competencies required

•             Proficient in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Area of responsibility

  • Call on all current customers
  • Build up strong relationships with the key decision maker’s in stores
  • Increase sales with all customers
  • After Sales Service for all customers buying our products
  • Promoting the company  in all the stores – Weekend activities & Promoters
  • Retail -Ensure ALL listed products are well displayed and on the sales floor & not hidden in warehouse
  • Display Stock - Ensure all display stock is in a 100% saleable condition
  • New Customers- Find new clients in your representative area - All Hardware Independent stores and Gardening
  • Update customer list monthly and submit call reports daily to your Manager
  • Update forecasts quarterly
  • In-Store Promotions – Bulk deals
  • New Project Development and information:
  • Assist with All shows and Trade Days
  • Admin - Ensure all admin is done correctly - Orders, Returns, Stock Issues, Credit Applications, CIA’S, Call Reports
  • Identify any online platforms and work with the National Sales Manager
